Ah, LegalWeek 2025 in New York—a time when the legal tech industry's finest gather to discuss the future, network, and query GenAI tools for the newest fashion trends at work conferences in cold weather. This year was no exception, with a lineup that was as enlightening as it was entertaining.

Rob Lowe kicked things off with a keynote titled "The Art of Reinvention: Turning Setbacks into Stepping Stones." Yes, that Rob Lowe. Equal parts charm and wisdom, he drew some surprisingly sharp parallels between surviving Hollywood and navigating legal innovation. Turns out reinvention isn’t just for actors and law firm websites.

Meanwhile, AI continued its relentless takeover—not just in headlines, but in serious panel discussions like "The State of AI in the Legal Industry" and "Generative AI: Judges, Lawyers, and Technologists on Legal Ethics." The mood? Urgent. One speaker summed it up best: “Lawyers need to wake up.” (Ouch.) It’s clear that AI isn't just a shiny toy; it's the new power player in everything from doc review to decision-making.

Arctera came away energized. The conversations confirmed what we've believed for a long time: the future of legal is upstream—closer to the source, faster to insight, and more collaborative than ever. LegalWeek may be over, but for us, the real work (and fun) is just beginning.

And while we continue to lead with Arctera Insight eDiscovery—our modern SaaS offering built for today’s always-on, always-collaborating legal teams—we’re also seeing a renewed wave of action around the Arctera eDiscovery Platform. Yes, the one that eDiscovery veterans still fondly call Clearwell. With the recent sunset announcement of Relativity Server, organizations are rethinking their on-prem strategy, and many are turning (or returning) to the power, stability, and deep search capabilities of the platform they’ve trusted for years.

Whether you're moving to SaaS or doubling down on-prem, we’ve got you covered. Let’s talk.
